"It's as if my spirit helpers
and the spirit of my drum all come together
and create a stream of energy that comes down
through my crown chakra... and I experience
it by hearing a medicine song that I feel compelled
to sing."

Why should I see Brenda for healing?
CREDENTIALS: Brenda's healing credentials
are in line with traditional Aboriginal teachings.
She had unusual abilities as a child and has had a
very difficult life. She has used all of her experiences
to learn, grow, move forward and help others, plus
she sought (and still does) the advice and support
of Native elders, healers and traditional teachers.
Brenda was adopted at birth and not told of her Aboriginal
heritage. Her family was not religious or spiritual
and did not encourage Brenda to sing. But she always
had an inner knowing that there was something more
to life than what she could see.
As a child, She felt silenced and unloved. Brenda
never felt a sense of belonging until she discovered
the hills of sagebrush in Kamloops, BC. But she had
a daily
recurring vision in Kamloops that led to what
she can only describe as a "download" of
teachings and songs in 2006, which culiminated in
her Spirit
Connection CD in 2007. Brenda also realized that
she was naturally connecting people to their own spirit
just by singing and drumming her medicine songs.
When she was only 15, her adoptive mother committed
suicide, and only a year and half later, her adoptive
father died of a heart attack. With no counseling
or healing supports, Brenda floundered until she discovered
the Aboriginal community in Toronto several years
later.
By the time she encountered York University's First
Nations Students Association, Brenda had already suffered
much abuse and was a single mother living in poverty.
But she finally had found people who looked like,
acted like and understood her. Her introduction to
the purification (sweat lodge) ceremony and the drum
brought Brenda full circle.
She ended up in a Healing Lodge with her children,
working through her grief, anger and depression under
the guidance of Native elders, healers, traditional
teachers and counselors, and a Buddhist psychotherapist.
When Brenda found her voice through a Navaho Star
Blanket Ceremony, it was the beginning of her journey
as a song catcher (channeler) and Aboriginal hand
drummer. Now, it's been 13 years since Brenda began
drumming, 23 years since she began her musical career,
and about 7 years since she began to receive healing
songs from Source.
After yet another "dark night of the soul"
in the winter and spring of 2007-2008, Brenda has
emerged from her self-described hibernation with new
healing abilities.
Brenda's ability to get what she calls "sensory
impressions" of the human energy system surfaced
suddenly in the middle of one of her healing sessions.
Already able to flow healing energy through her hands,
Brenda noticed that the energy felt stronger and she
could sense energy much more easily.
Additionally, Brenda found herself suddenly able
to manipulate her client's energy system remotely
(her client was about 2,000 miles away). The client's
results affirmed Brenda's new abilities. Read
the client's full story here.

In Brenda's Own Words
Many of you are aware that I work with healing energy
and some of you know that I sing both traditional
Native drum songs as well as reggae-soul-roots fusions.
But I am also a vibrational healer working with energy
medicine. To read more about my healing methods, click
here.
Medicine Song Woman is the spirit name that was
given to me by an elder... and it has become a title
I am honoured and humbled to carry.
I follow the teachings given to me from the Spirit
World, through visions and other forms of communication,
as well as what I've learned from Aboriginal elders,
traditional teachers and healers. I've also learned
a lot from books
and other healing resources.
Now is the time to let all of me out into the light.
I can't waste time any more on the fear that I have
allowed to hold me back. Gifts within me that have
been dormant or random are coming alive with purpose,
and songs - instead of coming to me occasionally -
are always with me, just above my crown chakra. With
the new gifts that have suddenly come to me also,
I know I have a responsibility to Source to share
these gifts of healing.
There is a great need for healing on our planet at
this time. Most of you are noticing your fears and
other negative emotions coming up to be released.
You're not alone. And I can help.
I know I'm here to assist others with releasing
old pain and negative emotions, finding your voice,
connecting to your spirit and opening up to this great
awakening.
I am grateful beyond words to be able to do this
work and be of service to Mother Earth and all of
you.
Miigwech, Thank You,
Brenda MacIntyre, Medicine Song Woman

What
healing methods does Brenda use?
Unlike music therapy or most sound healing
methods, my methods are not based on a scientific
formula of notes, chords, instruments, or technical
equipment.
I get my songs and teachings about vibrational healing
directly from Source/Creator and from my spirit helpers.
I open myself to Spirit and give birth to medicine
songs that are helping people worldwide to feel better.
Just above my crown chakra, there is a concentration
of healing energy that I can access whenever a healing
song is needed. My spirit helpers (angels, guides,
whatever you want to call them) as well as the spirit
of my drum tell me telepathically what to sing.
It's like they all come together and create a stream
of energy that comes down through my crown chakra
that I experience by hearing it as a song, as soon
as I open my mouth or pick up my drum. I don't even
need the intent to sing. If a song is meant to be
sung, it will come and I will have the urge to sing
it.
I open my mouth and the song is just there. Sometimes
it's a complete song that comes through instantaneously,
and other times it is an unstructured series of melodies
that may or may not grow into a full song.
What I'm referring to in terms of a medicine song
is usually what many would call a "chant"
and shamanic drumming. Sometimes English words come
as well, and I have had some of my reggae-soul songs
come to me whole and complete too. But when I'm doing
healing work, it's a wordless melody with my drum
or shaker.
The vibrations of my voice and drum or shaker create
a harmony of resonance. It often sounds like there
are five or more of me singing different tones all
at once, and somehow my voice is able to cut through
various layers of energy and get right into your soul,
your core, the essence of who you are.
My hands heat up - in fact my whole body heats up
- and I become a conduit for sound and healing energy
to flow through.
Although I sometimes get sensory impressions of
your energy system and of how you are feeling in the
moment, I do not diganose your condition. I just allow
the energy to do its work by singing whatever comes,
and letting my hands flow the energy where and how
it is needed.
Apart from my voice, I work with my drums, shakers,
several crystals and stones and sage (for smudging/purification
ceremony). I also transmit healing energy through
my hands in person and via email.
I am grateful to be able to dedicate my life to sharing
these gifts with people all over the world.
